Q. Do you Charge any additional premiums?
A. We provide a mainland UK nationwide service. No charge for Out of Hours service,travel or accomodation. The only additional costs that may be incurred are listed on the Pricing page which is generally for replacement items.

Q. Does the barcoded labelling cost more?
A. No, The barcoded labelling is standard , this actually helps automate the process.

Q. Are your engineers qualified to provide this service?.
A. Yes , Our Engineers are specifically trained by the Institute of Electrical Engineers in PAt Testing, each have City and Guilds 2377 Certificate of Competence for the Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.

Q. Does the power need to be switched OFF?
A. Yes, Even for a visual inspection the power has to be switched off. The internal wiring of the plug needs to be inspected which cannot be completed with the power ON.

Q.Some companies advertise that they have new testers that can test our Servers without powering them dowm, Can you?
A.No. We have not seen or heard of such equipment , Indeed on ocassion an appliance could pass the combined testing but FAIL on the visual inspection. There is and never will be a tester that could adequately replace the visual inspection. We do however offer an out of hours service at no extra cost to minimise distruption to your network whilst the servers are tested.

Q. How long does it take?
A. Generally Speaking, depending on access, 20 appliances per hour can be tested in an occupied office environment.

Q. How do you know you provide a good service?
A. Our Customers tell us!. As part of our ISO 9001 accreditation our customers are invited to offer their feedback and this forms an integral part of our Quality Management System. This feedback is analysed and used as a vehicle for continuous improvement.

Q. What is classed as an appliance?
A. An appliance is generally speaking anything with a plug on the end. A basic computer system comprising of base unit and monitor is actually classed as 4 appliances, the monitor, base unit and 2 detachable mains leads.
